«A Revolução Tem de Estar Perto» at the Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra presents and contextualizes the centrality of Ernesto de Sousa and the importance of CAPC in the construction and sharing of avant-garde ideas in the 1970s..., based on a selection of documentary materials directly linked to events organized or participated in by Ernesto de Sousa. It also presents the installation Olympia, which had its first presentation in the same black room at CAPC in 1979, before being shown in Lisbon and Berlin in 1980, and in the exhibition Anos 70 — Atravessar Fronteiras at the F.C.Gulbenkian in 2009. The relevance and topicality will be reinforced by a group of two dozen posters which, showing the echoes of the 1970s today, allow for a contemporary reflection on their meaning, relevance and proximity.
