Caring for a Country is a cycle of exhibitions about territory, architecture, and art co-organized by the Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra, Department of Architecture of the University of Coimbra, the Centre for Social Studies, and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra.
All Times Will Intersect, the first exhibition in this cycle, sets out to demonstrate, through eight heterogeneous proposals, in this adverse context, architecture, and art have been able to find strategies capable of structuring the territory, recreating it, reviving its innermost structures, consolidating it and recovering its forgotten possibilities. These proposals work against the current and on a scale of proximity, reinforcing the identity of places and their ability to structure our time.
Armed with all the knowledge, they can be a trigger that contributes to an inversion of this unidirectional paradigm, making it possible to change this cycle of emptying and impoverishment, reclaiming urbanity, and proposing more ethics and aesthetics.
