The occupation of the four CAPC–Sereia galleries for this exhibition aims to engage directly with the visitor’s body. It focuses on the many ways in which our gaze is always mediated by the body and, inevitably, by the forms through which we relate to sculptural and architectural space. Several questions emerge here: What do we see? What escapes us? How do we approach the threshold between inside and outside? Where does landscape begin, and where does architecture end? Where is the work located, and who determines its existence as sculpture? What do we see — or, more precisely, what is it possible to see?
The pieces developed for the first three rooms explore these questions without imposing answers. The intention is not to resolve them, but to allow them to guide the process and to remain active within it.
Room 4 will feature the projection of a video piece filmed in the Amazon in 2022 and completed in 2025.
