Tatyana Cristina

Tatyana Cristina (Lisbon, 2001) is a visual artist, graduated in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon in 2023. He currently lives and works in Lisbon. His work is developed through a multidisciplinary practice, which combines different experimental media and processes to explore recurring thoughts and fragments of everyday experience.

His approach often starts from the juxtaposition between the intimate and the collective, chance and construction, transforming personal concerns into visual and spatial compositions that challenge a linear reading. Objects he collects, archival images, and everyday elements emerge as raw material for the creation of fragmented narratives, open to interpretation.

Each work is an investigation into identity, memory, and the way in which the body - physical or symbolic - occupies and transforms space. Through visual and performative strategies, the artist proposes sensitive experiences that challenge the viewer's eyes and invite them to enter into an active dialogue with the work.
